...Italy, wine, cheese, a cool idea, and maybe more wine. Filomania and Carianne, also known as "Carimania," along with 3 other B-school buds decided to work on an entrepreneurial laundry locker project. Little did Carimania know, a year later they would be building out the business in Filomania's hometown of Boston, MA. Currently in beta, the WASHVAULT start-up will be tested at several local colleges in the Boston area during the fall of 2018.
Filomania has been developing residential real estate in the Greater Boston are for over 6 years. During her time developing property, her responsibilities included permitting, zoning, stakeholder engagement, project design review, and compliance. In 2016, she joined the Department of Energy Resources as a Renewable Energy Program Coordinator. There she designed programs to help expand the sustainable, responsible adoption of renewable energy technologies. She is currently studying for her MBA at SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy.
Carianne Bennett is a business student at SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy, currently participating in a business school exchange program with Babson College in Massachusetts. Previously, Carianne was the Manager of the Access Opera program of the Metropolitan Opera Guild (MOG) where she oversaw all logistics associated with the Guild's final dress rehearsal program at the Metropolitan Opera house. Carianne brought over 15,000 students per year to Met dress rehearsals, serving students and communities throughout the New York metro area. Prior to joining the MOG team, Carianne worked in development and educational capacities with the American Boychoir School, New York Foundation for the Arts, and Opera Company of Brooklyn. Originally from North-Central New Jersey, Carianne holds a B.A. in Vocal Performance and a M.M. in Teaching from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
